The title pretty much sums up the request: Please consider adding support for the Steam Overlay feature in Dungeons of Dredmor. It is a very handy feature to have (along with Steam Cloud for saves, which I hear is coming down the pipe).

I would like this as well, although I'm not as anxious because I don't see myself running it maximized.

Yeah, I'd very much like to see this too, I miss the access to Steam chat via the Steam Overlay.

Just a friendly bump for great justice (and the Steam Overlay feature).

Here's the deal with the Steam Overlay: We use WinGDI and DirectDraw, because we're a 2D game and we want to run everywhere. Unfortunately, Steam doesn't support Steam Overlay with these two fine pieces of (elderly) technology. We are working on a work-around, but it's going to take some time to put together and test.

In the mean time, if you want to take a screenshot, hit CTRL-G and it will dump one to your Save Games folder in Documents/Gaslamp Games/Dungeons of Dredmor.

  11. Ouch, dumps as BMP. When is the next patch going in? We're doing a review right now.

For anyone who wants, run the game in windowed mode and use a program called "ShiftWindow" which helps with alt-tab issues. This mostly aleviates the need for an overlay.
