I vividly remember the concept of steam pipes from boileries being connected to the power modules in various workshops from quite some time ago. Was the concept discarded or will it eventually happen?
It's still planned. It will require a lot of UI and careful planning of implementation details to not get in the way of other parts of the game, so this is what we might describe as an 'expensive' feature.
