psionic shove knockback not working

    I cleared most of Level 2 on Going Rogue with my shiny new wizard before I saved and quit. When I loaded my game the next day, I opened a Monster Zoo and discovered that my psychic shove from the Psionics tree wouldn't push back any monsters! I decided to use my fireball at point blank and murder them all. After I cleared the Monster Zoo, I tried pushing a grate and other assorted objects and they wouldn't move either. It would, however, push globs and spatters of blood on the floor.

    Oh, they move all right. They just move one square, and come straight back at you when they take their turn.

    Only knockback of two or more squares will be noticable.

    Some blockers have the canmove="0" flag, which means they cannot be moved with push spells.

    This is not what happened. Psychokinetic Shove has a paralysis feature to the spell in addition to the knockback. It was also working before I saved and it was also working every other time I've taken the psionics tree. An example: There was a staircase behind the room with 3 Enraged Diggles on the right and an artifact on the left with 2 switches in the middle. I used the lever to get the artifact and then pushed this grate out of the way to kill the diggles and go down the staircase. After I saved and loaded, I couldn't move this grate any more. The grate wasn't next to any walls or any objects that would block it from moving. Psychokinetic Shove also stopped working on chests, vending machines, candles, or any monsters whatsoever.

    1. :magic_resist: now blocks paralysis, preventing you from having a 100% guaranteed stun lock by spamming shove
    2. Saving/reloading causes most (all?) movable objects to become stuck

    I'm going to assume it has something to do with using Rune of Exploding that has caused this strange behavior.

    Saving/reloading doesn't normally cause this to happen. With the character I'm playing now I've saved/reloaded at least 3 times and it hasn't happened.

    Curious as to what makes you assume that. I've played psionics and fire magic together before, and never seen any conflicts between psychokinetic shove and rune of exploding. What are you experiencing that makes you think one is messing with the other?
