So, after browsing this forum, it would appear that I am apparently the only person with this problem, however maybe there is somebody here that could suggest a step I may be missing. Since I bought this game, compeletely randomly throughout gameplay I will experience complete computer freezes, which is something I haven't seen since the 90's. Sometimes the monitor will glitch out as the color that my background is set as, blinking wildly, and sometimes it will just go black, forcing me to restart. Also the sound will continue to play while this is happening.

It only seems to be this game, as well. I can play sc2 for 5 hours at a time, but once I start up this game, i get MAYBE an hour, most of the times much less. I've done all the standard troubleshooting bullcrap, updated all drivers, updated windows, .NET, played with settings, however it will always eventually crash. CPU/GPU temps normal. The only thing i haven't tried is a full system wipe, which I am not going to do for an indie game. Anybody know what I might be missing?

yeah I remember it happening from time to time, but then it's not just this game for me.

Having very similar problems, did all the same things as you, including upgrading from Vista to W7 (for various other reasons :p). The only differnece between us is my sound normal glitches on crash rather than the video (which freezes).

It appears that my problem may be my video card overheating (from a touch test), not something I have encountered before despite hours
of gaming of (presumably) much more graphically intensive games, mayhap DoD works the video card harder than I thought.
