can someone make a drunken fist monk or martial artist please and a special item for the class that he starts with his drink vase/cup or whatever you choose he would need to obviously keep his fuel coming and if not get a amazingly big debuff as for the abilities no clue
Sounds neato, Way of the Pandaren Brewmaster or somesuch. Would be a mandatory entry in the mod loader!
I've actually been working on an idea like this for the last week or so, revolving around the idea, "what if warriors could actually use all that booze?" Problem is, between work, other work, writing and beating the game on GR, I don't really have much time. If anyone takes this up I'd be happy to share my ideas.
Drunken Master, bitches. Drunken Master. All we need is for the devs to either active the TriggerOnDrink OR fix the "consumeItem='1'" spells, and it's on.
I was actually messing around with a tree offering buffs that consumed 1MP every turn, pretty much forcing you to drink most of the time. Sure, you could try and max out your MP regen but that still only lets you keep up one buff at a time. And when you're in all that armor, max MP regeneration is hard to do.
That was basically the idea behind the early levels of Warlockery, too. It's tough to make spells that are balanced at that much drain; they're either too strong or they aren't worth the drain.
I kind of wanted a random feel (since you're supposed to be drunk) so I was thinking buffs that also gave you procs (yes, convoluted, I know, but I have a lot of experience messing with parenthetical statements [as I have an English degree] and it's what I know.) Thus, at level 0: Drunken Boxing +1 You've gotten into so many barfights while falling down drunk you're not really sure how to fight sober any more. Giving you the buff: Drunken Boxing +2 +1 Someone hand that man a barstool! Which in turn has a 10% chance of giving you the procs Drunken Stagger and Flailing Elbows when attacking and the Happy Drunk brittle buff when you kill an enemy. Drunken Stagger +5 +2 You're just all over the place. People think they see two of you, perhaps because you think there's two of them! Flailing Elbows +5 +2 The power of booze gives you joints you didn't even know you had. Too bad you're too sloshed to use them right. Happy Drunk +4, lasts one attack Hehehehehe! Hesdeaddidyouseethatthatwassooooooocoooool! Eventually there will be skills that involve puking on people. Not to mention the skill that makes you klingon, so there's a chance you get blood wine every time you're hit. Mind you, I'm still in the process of trying to reverse engineer some other mods and figure out how I might do all this, so there's no actual code to share...

[/quote]Which in turn has a 10% chance of giving you the procs Drunken Stagger and Flailing Elbows when attacking and the Happy Drunk brittle buff when you kill an enemy.[/quote] Just watch out; you can only have one TargetHitEffectBuff per skill/spell, so either Drunken Stagger and Flailing Elbows will proc at the same time, or you'll have to have them triggered by a third spell that casts one or the other randomly when IT gets triggered by the TargetHitEffectBuff. Or you could just put Flailing Elbows as a TargetHit and Drunken Stagger as a PlayerHitEffectBuff.
This is why you're the master codesmith. Thanks for the tip, these things are useful to know. I think putting Stagger as a HitEffect probably makes a little more sense anyways.
