I think there needs to be more choices for rogue equipment. The mid to high-level equipment choices just don't match the equivalent warrior and wizard equipment. The main defensive skills of the rogue are dodge and counter, and it is hard to find these in any meaningful amounts on rogue equipment. The quality rogue gear quickly plateaus while warrior and wizard gear continues to improve as you progress through the game. Look at the high-end body armor for each archetype. The warrior has embossed serpentine platemail, the wizard has armored archmage's robe, and the rogue has, I don't know, the magical badass jacket. The jacket has very little in the way of counter or dodge anyway.
Ive only played the game a bit but in my eyes there should be daggers or some finesse melee weapon for rogues. I tried playing with ranged weapons and from what i can gather, they arent easy to use. You can run out easily and thus most rogues use swords or other melee weapons from warrior tree. Daggers should be made into their own skill for the rogue, it only makes sense.

Turgid, i just read your posts on the rogue and i think you pretty much got it down. Daggers still might be better with getting multiple attacks rather than a aoe attack. I wouldnt make sense if daggers got aoes just like all else, and would be good for differentation. I think you could make daggers have a cleave/effect. But thats just my idea. Either way, the expansion will rock
