Windows Vista/7 64-bit Rune room issue?

  1. Have ROTDG and YHTNTEP...and my first time to level 12, I came across a rune room that doesn't work. I put the runes down in two different configurations (first for a Bolt Machine, then for a Drink Machine), but the lever just flip-flops and nothing happens.

    Could I have confused the game by at first putting down a stack of two of one of the runes in one of the slots?

    Interesting. I have never had any problems although I have never stacked multiple in a slot or taken some from one room of demands to another.

    Stacking items makes them lose their IDs, so yes, when you stacked them in your inventory, it broke the room's script.

    I've done this before too, after finding a rune in a dead-end room (I entered by stairs, but there were no doors and no false walls, so I had to go back up and find another flight of stairs). I'm not sure wether that room is core or ID. For me it was on dungeon level 6 (the mushroom level).
     
  5. Ahhh, thanks. That 'splains it. Note to self, don't keep Random Runes in inventory.

    It was level 11 for me. Core+RotDG+YHTNTEP.
