First of all, I´m new in this forum and this is my first thread. I just found usefull info about sneakiness in 2 topics using the search topic system. So, with the last version (1.1.1), is said: GAMEPLAY: Monsters now have a sight cone, and sneaking now works better. Monsters have two states, “suspicious” and “attempting to kill you.” I´ve looking for information about how works. Well, I know how its calculated, based on and , and that it affects enemies perception and higher values make easier to walk on traps and not trigger them. Ok, and increase 1% of chance per 1 point. So 100 points = 100% chance. And we know exactly what those stats do. But is so vague... I know it is used to increase base damage of some skills, but, what are the other things it should do (lower monsters noticiyng you and traps)? 100 points of turns you invisible and immune to traps? (in one topic discussion a guy with 200 felt in a trap..). so how it really affects? And what is enemy perception? (a radius decrease of my sneakynes, depending on the monster?) Now that enemies have visual cones of view, sneakiness works different deppending on how I face the enemy? Being by his side triggers a different % of being noticed than staying behind it, or in front? I still don´t know how it works, but probably this cone of view reduces sneakiness drastically... And the enemies view to be in state of "suspicious" and "attempting to kill" have a radius or are just their based on their Other topic discussion tells that killing a enemy can trigger a chance of "warning" to the enemies around that still didn´t noticed you. Ok, that makes sense, and is a very nice way to not overpower rogues. Finishing my questions... Backstab does what? 100% ? Or just if the enemy is sleeping it has 100% critical? Considering that is not that easy to aproach behind a enemy, what are the bonuses that backstab grants me? Critical, extra % damage, X%critical + X%extra damage... ? So... as no one knows how works... with your experience playing the game so far, what is the minimum to be almost unnoticed and be possible to walk 1 square from them? considering 10th floor enemies. Cones of view are way to complicated to someone explain to us. Problably just the programmers know how it works. But I noticed that there are peacefull monsters now, and that sometimes they can trigger some anger and go attack you. funny. Backstab still has no bonus as I have searched. Maybe a 100% critical chance (with 10% of chance to increase the damage in 50%), that would be awesome. (this X % of chance to increase damage could be a passive of daggers, or something like this. (just daydreaming here) Because there is no point in being sneaky if you cant kill the enemy in 1 or 3 hits. It would trigger the "warning system" and the enemies around would notice you.
At least as far as I have seen (I dont attack much, I blast ), backstab is 100% crit. I can approach at least DL 1 to 3 monsters with 7 sneakiness sometimes and still be unnoticed. Spells seem to alert many more enemies than attacks, it seems.
