So I have have spent roughly 80 hours on my laptop pre 1.0.10 with no sound or music problems. Now however, after the patch the sound lags in the middle of a song (nothing happening just lags) and the music snags (playing the same note like 10 times, and the next note a few times) before it catches up. With sound effects on sometimes attacking a creature causes the sound to lag as well. I have no problems on my desktop with this patch (which is faster) and my laptop never used to have sound problems in previous patch (other than the slight lag when entering the brax shop). Other than playing with no music, I don't know what else I can do.
Thank You Nicholas. Steam. Processor is an Intel T3200 2 GHZ, 667 Mhz Front Side Bus. And interestingly I just discovered that loading the game with both music and sound on mute only take 1/5th the time that it was with both on. I can listen to music while playing without a problem (winamp).
