When I played the v1.07 of the game, eating the blungecap and meleeing enemies got my health back. Also in v1.07, I could sow the spores anywhere on the screen within my line of sight.

I'm playing v1.08 now and I've noticed that the blungecap vampirism doesn't seem to be working. I'm on dungeon level 6 and running out of food. I've started eating my blungecaps and bludgeoning Mushies, Carrots, Blink Batties, and the Unhealthful Golems, but I don't seem to be getting any health back.

Also in v1.08 I can only sow spores in my immediate vicinity (the eight squares around my character). This makes sowing spores an even bigger tedium than already was before since now I have to walk up to all the corpses in a room to sow spores individually instead of just doing it once after clearing a room.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems? I'm playing with the "No time to grind" option enabled.

I'm playing normal-sized levels with the expansion, and my fungal arts characters are having the same problems. Sometimes it will let me put the spores on a corpse anywhere I can see them on the screen, and sometimes it randomly stops letting me do that and limits me to only the corpses in adjacent squares.

Blungecap vampirism only works on animals.
