The complete randomness with the potion is a real pain. I know its kind of the idea but as the only easily available, non-magical way of teleporting as a melee character, it would be nice if it were at least guaranteed to take you a minimum distance (2-3 spaces) away from where you start. Right now, its pretty useless for escaping danger. For example, one of my melee characters died after facing one monster, i downed a spatial instability potion and ended up right next to it again, taking a hit, then i tried another and took another hit resulting in death... Ridiculously unlucky certainly, but nevertheless, i can't help but feel the potion needs a tweak. Thoughts?
Knightly Leap is suited to Melee chars, and it's way more predictable. I also found that the teleport spell or potion doesn't really take you outside the general area, so you won't ever end up on the opposite end of the dungeon.
