Stacked debuffs inversely integrated into character

Discussion in 'Bugs' started by RaustBlackDragon, Feb 5, 2012.

  1. Basically, I've been playing a mage using necronomiconomics, and thanks to my high necro resist, I made extensive use of deathly hex, which caused a lot of lingering weakness debuffs. However, I noticed that when I has leveled a few times, I had HP comparable to my high-level warrior build, in the upper 70s by floor 2.

My only guess is that something caused my HP to be returned to normal, but the undoing of the debuffs still added to my HP stat. Nothing I do seems to be able to reset it.

    Thought I'd let you know.

It has to do with leveling up while those buffs are active. I'm not sure I've ever noticed it happening with max health (or mana) but it certainly happens with health and mana regen. It kinda makes necronomiconomics unplayably overpowered.

And unfortunately since leveling up is automatic, this can't be avoided (in other words, you can't just wait to pick a skill till they wear off, the change has already happened as soon as you've leveled). The only way to avoid it is to stop doing anything that gives experience before leveling and let all of the debuffs wear off.
