Hi, i'm bypassing the beta-check, so i don't know if the issue is somehow fixed in the real beta. If i create a new game in linux and try to load it in windows, it results in a crash. If i create the game in windows i can play it with the linux version. But if i save it again in linux, it crashes in windows. Is this a known bug / do you need more info? greets.
The savegame "toast.dredmorsave" was created in linux, didn't work in windows. Clicking on the load button results in an immediate crash. "thetoast.dredmorsave" was created in windows, but played and saved in linux. After that, it didn't work in windows anymore. But it does work in linux.
Edit: The windows savegames are the same as the linux-savegames (according to diff). I just had to sync angain. The Issue still remains, both savegames work with the linux version, but not with the windows-version. Do you need any further information?
Out of curiosity, can you try saving in linux and then loading it in windows but without opening Steam? just open the game through the exe.
Hi, sorry for the resurrection of this topic, but I'm having the exact same problem as Napf01. I started a game on windows, sync'ed it to linux and it played perfectly fine - no issues whatsoever. When i've sync'ed it back it just crashes as soon as it attempts to load. Was any progress made on this issue? I've got the latest non-beta version on both, with all DLC. Thought I might as well post here since it's the only other place I've found it on the internet, and there's only these few messages. Many Thanks.
Aha! Thank you for your reply Daynab. I set my windows version to use the beta and it's just loaded the save! Thank you for that. Do you know whether i'll need to put the linux version into beta as well? In any case i'll back up the save since it works on my main PC now. Thanks a lot!
Hmm, now I've got the opposite problem. The save loaded in windows and works fine, but it won't load on linux, and that's both with and without beta on linux :/
Ow. This could possibly be due to the version the save was created on. It should work on fresh saves.
