Been a little while since I played last, ran the game and the steam cloud conflict popup comes like like it has been for a while. Date wise, the last steam cloud save was from August 14th, which seem correct. The local save though is from December 31, 1969. One of the 2 is been having issues for a long time and just isn't updating at all, regardless of the modified date, but considering the last modified date of the local saves...there's something going on here, any ideas for a possible and hopeful easy fix for this?
Unix timestamps start at Jan 1, 1970, and then get adjusted for your local timezone. So that file date derives from a Unix/Linux timestamp of '0'. But you're on Vista, so I don't understand why you've got a file with such a date. I think you should move your local save to some other directory. Then the Steam Cloud save will sync, and you can see if it's the one you want. If it's not, move your local save back, and choose it when the Steam Client complains about the sync conflict.
