Howdy! I bought the earliest access to Clockwork Empires, and I’m having quite bad jerky frame-rate problems. I was wondering if this is to be expected as the game is unfinished, or if I’ll need to upgrade my hardware for the final version. My specs are: CPU: Core i5-3210M 2.5GHzG GFX: NVidia GeForce GT 635M RAM: 6GB The issue improves slightly when I lower the graphic settings in the game, but it doesn’t completely smooth out the frame-rate. Generally, I can play demanding games on high graphics settings with flawless, smooth frame rates (Crysis 3 for example ran on medium/high no problem). I really love Clockwork Empires, great work! Any thoughts on these specs, and if I should be able to run the game? An annoying thing that's started happening is the game has no ground when it loads, just black space beneath the colonist's feet. I've double checked to make sure the game is using my NVidia graphics card and not the integrated Intel GPU. Thanks chaps.
FYI What are the minimum system requirements? OS: Windows 7 Processor: Intel i5 or equivalent Graphics: NVIDIA or AMD card capable of supporting OpenGL 3.2 Core or Above
Just and Update for people reading these specs. My Rig consist of this i7 4770k overclocked to 4.5ghz 16 Gb of Corsair Dom Platinum @ 1866mhz Custom water loop in progress (Using H100i at the moment) 120gb Samsung SSD Evo Asus Formula VI z87 1150 socket board EVGA 780 FTW Dual ACX GPU 1000W EVGA PSU And this game is using all 4cores/8 threads (Sometimes just 6) Graphics card temps are around 70c dropping to 65 most of the time i7 stays around 60c while playing at 4500mhz Hope this helps. GPU information that I have noticed on my own rig made me laugh when they mentioned running this on the HD intergrated graphics (Intel 4000)
Nice rig Colin. Mine is similar but with a much crappier video card and my 4770k is only at 4ghz, but the game still runs pretty great. It's nice to see a game taking advantage of multithreaded CPUs like this, although I expect to hear complaints from people who have only been keeping their video cards current and using 7-year-old CPUs.
I appreciate the kind words Mr Krentz. Yea I couldn't imagine this running on my asus laptop that I bought in 08. I have a core duo in here, no multi threading and a 9600 gefore nividia. Lmao. I think my cpu would blue screen about 10 time in a bootup haha.
