Is there a building at some point for which making a table and chair set worth doing? Will the villagers actually do anything with them?
I seem to recall them not really working yet (as in colonists don't sit in them), so I don't see a reason to make them unless it's for trade. Could be wrong though, as much as I keep up with the game it's hard to stay on top of all the details.
They do indeed work for sitting. (I know because I had to figure out how to get the bloody people aligned in the chairs and it was a huge pain!)
It works really well in the Pub! Though it does look a bit sterile with everything in 90° angles...maybe you could allow a random rotation and slight displacement while a person sits on a chair.
