I've started a let's play series, called "The many deaths of Barry." Barry the 1st has cruelly had his life taken from him by a Diggle (and player incompetence) and soon Barry the 2nd will enter the dungeon to avenge him. Nice play Hyfrydle. I saw it yesterday. A lot more informative than I suspect mine are I'm planing on putting up a new video every day, I'm recording them ahead of time so that if I don't have time to record on a particular day I should still have a video to put online. I'll be updating this thread, embedding the latest video and having a list of links to previous episodes.

Alright, a new video has been uploaded. It would have gone better if I'd remembered I had explosives. The Video is linked here: http://youtu.be/zZLwldzFGas and embedded in the first post. For those who are interested I thought that I would list how I make the Let's Plays. Software I use: Fraps, Avidmux and Audacity. Apart from fraps they are all free. I was having issues with fraps at first. The way I got it to record DoD was by setting monitor Aero to on. Avidmux is a free open source video editor that works with Windows. I was using VirtualDub for the first couple of videos but it had issues with the 30 gig worth of footage I was feeding it so I switched. Audacity is a free open source sound editor that has lots of good options for recording sound. I've worked with it a fair bit and find it quite a capable program. DoD is set to 1080 * 720 and fullscreen. I have the music and sound effects down very low. As of episode 4 I do not record my voice with fraps. I record it into Audacity. Then once I've merged the fraps chunks I export the game audio and use Audacity to balance the sound. You should find that from episode 4 on the sound balance gets much better. I then reimport the sound back into Avidmux and render the video for upload. And that's the process. It's a little fiddly with the sound but not too hard.
