An user of Reddit asked this at the DoD subreddit and asked me to post his problem here. So, here it is:

He tried deleting the Steam cache, that didn't work.
He also said that he checked the whole forum and didn't find any clues for what to do.

    I'll leave the post's link here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Dredmor/comments/ynq54/trying_to_launch_this_game_doesnt_workany_clues/

    Thanks in advance.

Has he tried running it through the .exe instead of Steam?

Generally, if it doesn't even hit the launcher, either

    a) Steam has totally eaten everything
    b) the computer in question either needs to have chkdsk /f run on it, or
    c) the computer in question is about to die.

    Every time.

Alrighty! Ionward here, as Frandarre was kind enough to let me use his account while mine was inactive.

So basically, I ran chkdsk /f and afterwards I attempted to launch Dredmor. Still the issue. However, I'm wondering if its because I'm running Steam and its games off of a partition on my main hard drive. Its either that or Steam has totally eaten everything.

Hmm. Okay, let's go with the Steam has Eaten Everything theory then. Delete your local content and try reinstalling?

Ionward here again. I'm pretty sure I fixed it. What I did was deleted the Gaslamp Games directory in the My Documents, deleted local content, then reinstalled. Thanks for your help guys!
