using pets to grow mushrooms

    The concept of the Fungal Arts is to hunt down stuff to kill or dirt patches to farm mushrooms out of. Within the same skill set you can get the slime which does not fight back if you wail on it until it dies. It leaves a body behind which you can freely use to plant spores in. How convenient! I've not tried this on other pets, but it at least works on the slime.

    Suggestion: Corpses of friendly units are unusable for spores, and I would go as far to say that other abilities and spells that make use of corpses can't use them either. Could even just have summoned bodies go "poof" into nothingness when they die, avoiding the issue altogether. Not much of a point for them to exist. As it is it almost seems like an exploit, albeit not a gamebreaking one.

    Alternate Suggestion: Make pets fight back when they are attacked by their owner. If you want to farm your own pet it would take the cost not only in turns but in some HP.

    Umm...no offense, but you're seriously worried about an "exploit" wherein you have to spend 12+ Mana and risk getting Counterattacked in order to plant a spore and get a shroom?

    If it costed 12+ mana to perform it wouldn't be an issue. It costs zero mana to pop a new spore and to summon a slime, so I'm not sure where you're getting that number from. Yes there is a small risk of counterattack, but even at character level 2 it does negligible damage on Easy mode. At higher levels it's not even a threat.

    No it's not a HUGE, OMG gamebreaking exploit, but if one had enough patience he could get as many mushrooms as he wants at near to nil risk. The little bit of waiting involved is the reason I posted this in Suggestions rather than Bugs.
