I was doing alright first try at 4946 points....then I think the game got pissed at me I opened a random door it said something I dont remember and like 600 monsters just attacked me? WHAT HAPPEND?????
new char... I new the door led to a monster zoo could feel it...I prayed...opend; MONSTER ZOO!!! I ran behind a trap and next to a teleporter and TANKED I killed them all...al I got for it was an elven ingot press
Hahaha what ? The elven ingot press was the reward you got with the message " congratulation you killed the entire zoo" thing ?
Ohhh ok so then its not the "official" reward. You receive the reward in your hands when the last monster originally in the zoo is killed.
Unless you do something to make the counter bug. (Walk too far away, save and load, go up or down a floor, maybe a couple of others.)
When you find a zoo, there will be a counter on the right side under the minimap which will tell you how many critters are left to kill. If you don't leave the level, or run too far away, or encounter the double-zoo bug, then when the counter reaches zero, you should get a random artifact (with better items the deeper you are).
I actually had it happen to me earlier today, but I DID receive an item, the game just failed to acknowledge it with the zoo splash sceen.
