Why is DoD so norwegian?

    Just wondering why Dungeons of Dremora is so "norwegian", with lutefisk, norwegian viking ancestors, gouda cheese and so on.
    I personally love it, since I am norwegian myself, but I still wonder why it is like this :p

    Gouda is Dutch (Netherlands) ;)

    Lol but ya the game is steeped in a lot of Norwegian lore. I find it gives it a unique feel.

    It's more Scandinavian than just Norwegian.
