So I found a room on level 13 with three "slipgates." Are these just cosmetic or can you interact with them (I tried doing everything I could think of to them and nothing happened)? Even if they're only for aesthetics, they're pretty cool. See photo below:
The exact uses of slipgates are detailed here. Actually they're not. That's just me being silly. Though we all have high hopes that one day every floor will have a slipgate, and you'll be able to skip back to those stores with cool stuff you left six floors back without taking 25 minutes to walk back the hard way.
Yeah its pretty awesome. Just needs a couple vore and a dimensional shambler and I'll shed tears of nostalgia everytime I play Dredmor.
