    Why first ravel to level 14? Is there better loot in the wizardlands then?

    To level up as much as possible before going to dangerous Wizardlands.

    IIRC the wizardlands' monsters are the same as the DL you enter them from.

    Precisely why I mentioned level 14. More zorkmids drop from lower level dlvl monsters. The monsters are a mish-mash though, I think, of enemies of similar levels.

    Man, I am so desperate for this xpac. The sad part is I probably won't play it for days after release, cause I'll be too busy playing with the new code...lolol...All my other games are just leaving me sad (because they aren't DoD). Oh well, guess it just means I need to go (die horribly while trying) to kill the big D again.

    sweet, I get some time off around that stage. :) Then I can spend forever playing and bug-testing DoD.

    If the modders keep their code clean, I don't think so.

    That being said, I don't know what exactly will be changed in the final version, but nesting our code outside of tags which really use nesting is supposedly going to stop working.
     
  17. For those of you keeping track at home, the confirmed skills thus far are:

    Egyptian Magic/Tourist/Electronic Warrior/Daggers/Polearms/Bankster/Communist/Paranormal Investigator/Magical Law.

    I haven't seen any details about Tourist yet.

    Have the Gaslamp Games crew been playing a bit too much Nethack lately? :)

    Electronic warrior sounds rad. Perhaps I'll dust off that old keyaxetar.

    Mh, paranormal investigator. Sounds like Cthulhu is going to make an appearance. 1d6 Investigastors/round, though, so maybe you have to summon backup :)
