Hort steps into the room. "These rooms sure are getting consistently huge. Do you still have a track on them Berz?"
(d20+9=29)Despite all your tracks, Torma does see Derro tracks leading into the center of the room. The tracks disappear suddenly about 15' from the door.
Berz points vaguely toward where the tracks end and says "they stop over there." taptaptaptaptaptap... "Oh, screw it." Berz opens the door.
"Kinda. Look here." As Berz is about to open the door, Torma quickly searches for symbols on the ground at the spot where the tracks stop. (search +6)
"Nao." ... "Err never mind, don't know why I spoke thus." ... [arcane knowledge or religion or both (each is +11) check on the brass cube]
((I was just about to act on your behalf, I had forgotten that you had authorized that.)) (d20+11=21)(d20+11=29) It is definitely something to do with The Lutefisk God. You seem to remember rumors of rare artifacts that convert items to Lutefisk. This matches the description.
"What I actually wanted to say was that that brass cube reminds me of something some weird gnome scholar-hermit I once met in my travels told me. He was the talkative chap, weird for a hermit, and at one time spoke of certain transmutable objects. He mentioned some rumor that certain Lutefisk-god related artifacts, similar to the one over there, could transmute stuff into lutefisk. The lutefisk inside it seems to agree with this conjecture, so I really think it's one of those."
" That sounds gross, yet interesting. If Berz is willing to wait some more, I have something that might do good lutefisk" Torma takes out some bags filled with dried mushrooms, and throws the whole thing in the cube.
Berz stares at the cube and it's lutefisk, and his hand strays from the door. "Wierd." Sniff. "Smells...unnatural." Berz' hand returns to the door. "You guys done yet?"
"Let's feed mister fish man before we go! Maybe we'll get some more cool wangity dangity wands or something"
