Well if you havent noticed Torma already dislikes magic in general. And playing with dead people is generally gross and rather irrespectful of dead people trying to rest in peace.
Oh, well with "being a wizard" in the first place. Sorry its not an English idiom its just broken English from a French guy <: D
(Double post. Dont hit me.) Dyrynify... You tricky little DM... In a good way ; ) Didnt expect anything from the roof. Got a request though: Could you maybe give a number to each centipede ? Will make it easier during the fight to identify who attacks who, etc...
I'm alright for now, but I don't know how strong they are. (or do I? realistically I know many common monsters since I've travelled quite a time, and I should know just about all monsters that appear in the Underdark, and most that appear underground. I as a player don't know if these are common at all so I dunno)
If they are poisonous your ghouls should be resistant to it though... Man, I had forgotten how wizards were freaking awesome to play in 3.5 : D Lotsa cool spells you got !
An easy way to determine relative strength is to look at Challenge Rating, or CR, of the monster. Higher CR, stronger monster. The CR is an arbitrary number showing what kind of 4 character party should be able to take on that monster and win. So, a CR 5 monster should be easy prey for 4 level 5 players. It doesn't always work, but it is fine for now. Now, about you knowledge, you can expect to know the underdark monsters, underground monsters, some aboveground monsters, and, because of your training, most undead.
Yeah but I am the type of person who's not going to google CR, instead I trust on the DM to tell me what I see and might be relevant info, and what I know if I ask. Or I could change my ways and google CR's of mobs and just avoid reading any other info. OR I could google them, read everything, and pretend to myself i will not let that influence any decision whatsoever. But it'll be pretending
Well, I mainly meant that as how you tell yourself how strong your summons are. But it is not bad to read the stat blocks of monsters, just don't let that bleed into the game if it does not belong. And I will, of course, tell you what you see. But more detailed info about monsters or whatever will only come if you ask about it, and make the needed rolls. I will always tell you how many diggles you are fighting, but I might not let you know details of their social structure. But as characters, you might know that, and that is what the stat block is for.
Hm. @Essence, different thing: Not meaning to nag too much, but could we keep our posts as players in the IC thread somewhat more IC?
Essence: The first ghoul is in his robe. (I typed skeleton when I should have typed ghoul.) The others are not there yet. I need all actions before a run the round.
