They got derailed by something crazy again. Either smack them all or let them be, depending on how merciful you are.
Scribblenauts Video: Warning, Strong Language Spoiler Go to 9:10 to see how people are afraid of 'neogaf' and when he touches the gorilla it zombifies. Oh and Sorry Essence. my last offtopic post for your thread
Odd. The game looks good. I cannot await the Scribblenauts dark side expansion that simply must come now. But I suppose I better shut up about this here. I will post on the many appropriate threads already sitting around if I find anything worthy of mentioning. Rock on Essence.
Welp. When I was thinking about fixing some skill trees I have though about the capstone for BGH. I thought that since BGH is going to get taken mostly by rogues/warriors (and everything inbetween) it could use some sort of AoE. Something like: I'm not sure how OP or UP this would be, but maybe... Also unsure if it is codable. Also, I like Megadeth.
And the problem starts there. It's not about "what characters who would potentially choose BGH could possible have a use for that they forgot about", but rather "what is in-theme and useful for someone relying on this particular skill tree in itself". Yes, the capstone for BGH doesn't appear interesting. But it is useful (it's an ability to summon multiple meat shields) and in-theme (hunting diggles). A "nuke" ability, on the other hand, would not be in-theme regardless of whether it could be useful or not. And yes, it would be codable. But you so very much do not want to go into that direction, trust me, not even Essence would try to code that thing in because it's simply crazy (and I have my own bits of insane code to work on). Yeah, I like it too. It's useful, even if it sometimes doesn't appear so. But really, this is how sight-impaired rogues disarm traps - by sending hunting diggles onwards.
I'm not sure the Sword's new capstone is working right either. At least I'm not seeing any names pop up when I counter (it's supposed to be a 100% proc on counter, right?), and it doesn't look like I'm dealing any extra damage.
There is no popup on procs from inside buffs. The damage is there, though. I took screenshots to see floaters and counted monster HP to prove it.
I've dicked around with this a little (back home now), and I think that this is a hardcoded problem. Just like you get your Sneaky Shiv and whatnot when you're in Werediggle form, you also get any polymorphed-only procs from skillDB while you're not polymorphed -- it works both ways. That's bad, because it means I have to kind of entirely rethink what Diggle Plague should be. On the plus side, I now understand why the GLG guys had it as an active ability rather than a proc.
Make the plague trigger from the transformation buff instead of the skill tree itself? Or make it require the buff to be up?
Right, because Werediggle form is a buff. Genius; thanks, Kazeto. So, as a result of the last week's conversation, here's the new changes: ASSASSINATION: Slim Customer now functions as intended (lasts until you attack or are attacked). Slim Customer now procs Two Attacks, One Dagger 100% of the time when you attack with it active. Yes, this means only Dagger wielders get the extra Sneakiness damage. Suck it. FUNGAL ARTS: Symbiotic Toadstools now also gives your pet +10 Health Regen. IDK if I'll keep this; I might reduce it to 6. WEREDIGGLE: Diggle Plague now goes off on 10% of all hits. It does nothing unless you have Werediggle Form active at the time. COMMUNISM: The Internal Contradiction debuff now adds +1. Yes, you get your smithing, but not necessarily when you want it. OP updated with the above changes.
Because the other weapon skills were changed to be more in line with the exciting stances-and-swings style of Polearms and Daggers. Next to them, the other skills were just...boring.
Eh, Slim Customer shouldn't prefer Daggers because forcing people to take a specific skill with another one reduces build variety and generally removes more than it adds.
Awwwww! Yeah, I knew that one wouldn't last. OK, sure. I'll change it back to Sneaky Shiv like I had it first.
Yeah I think Daggers and Assassination already have enough synergy by the stats they provide and/or scale with that you don't need to explicitly say "YOU HAVE TO USE THIS!" It should be... sub-optimal to assassinate someone with a hammer. But still an option
This is what I've made before: proc a spell which search for werediggle, and then if it's there it procs diggle plague. Because Daggers and Polearms are from new generation of skill trees, they are somehow better than old school weapons.
Might want to update your weapon skill tree spoilers Essence, I've noticed a few differences. Like swapping the first and last stance in Staffs, and making Sword's second stance all 1 buff and not hungry.
