I have a request, if that's okay. I would love to see the Spell System Reference page made. When building skills, spells are inevitable and for a beginner like me, something that I can refer to while making spells would awesome! I swear, at least 70% of my errors come from spellDB. Thanks, you guys!
I never knew you could log in with Steam. And I tried to see if I could make an account that way, but I see nothing there about linking Steam accounts. Besides, Steam accounts can be made a dozen or more a day per user. For the purposes of a Wiki, this equals massive abuse potential. In fact, I cannot seem to find details on how to make an account at all. Even when I log out there seems no way to make an account visible to me. (This may be intentional.) *Edit* If all else fails, please make a new thread here and just add the page data in the post and one of us will put it up for you with full credit to you. If it does not happen in a reasonable short time, please PM me and I will get on it. (I tend to not notice some new threads.)
I made my account with some weird WikiLogin or something, and you could choose to register with Steam, so I did that. Now it seems you can't login with Steam anymore..
Can someone point me to a decent tutorial for wiki markup? I'm trying add stuff to the wiki but it all looks like crap.
Just look at the Item Reference page; the table has good wiki markup, and to make your table interesting you should add images to it.
What? Learn how to do something by copying and modifying existing code? I have no idea why you think someone like me would have a skill like that.
Also, people HATE reading small lines of text in the manner you posted it in "Monster Types". Seriously. Why isn't your house full of Dred Collectors yet.
So what's the deal with uploading images from the game to the wiki? is that kosher? Under what license?
I think Dredmod should be quite open to images from the game. It is about the game itself after all. I would dare to say post them as you see fit and if there is a problem, Wikis can be edited easily. No-one is going to ban you for reasonable use in the Wiki. If I knew shit about the damned things, I would make a simple tutorial. But I do not. What I do know is that you need not have everything perfect. If it is correct and accurate, someone else can help edit it to look better. All you need to worry about is not being an idiot advertising Viagra or somesuch nonsense. And since you would never do that, you will be safe.
If ANYONE knows more about the newly-added buffs in Spell System Reference, please add info. http://dredmod.com/wiki/Spell_System_Reference
How does one go about registering for the wiki? Me and a friend are working our way through stuff, and catching a lot of mistakes. We'd like to fix stuff as we go.
I don't have a wiki to test edits on, but here's the list of things we've ran into problems with so far since yesterday. Most of it's pretty easy to fix, or just shuffling some stuff around between pages, I just don't have access to do it myself. Also included is a list of startup flags, and a bit about how they work, if I know. Would be very nice to have a page for them on the wiki.
