Can't say I particularly liked the game nor its mangled handling of sound files, but the soundtrack is pretty good.

I recently watched a documentary about the history of the Eagles, so that inspired me to post something by them:

I love Jackson Browne, and this is one of my favorites of his (he also appears in the documentary, as he co-wrote a few of the Eagle's songs).

A little change of pace -- Warren Zevon was not actually in the documentary but his name does come up and I do enjoy many of his songs as well. He died a few years back, much too young. But his music still remains. Warning though that this one is a bit dark.

And you can't talk about Warren Zevon without this song coming up:

After I posted that, I actually found Jacksone Brown covering another of my favorite Warren Zevon songs:

I wrote about "Searching for Sugarman" In the movies thread, well here's some music from Rodriguez, the subject of the film:

Here, mostly. I also follow random YouTube links. It's how I got into Audiomachine - they'd crop up in the sidebar on Two Steps From Hell tracks, for example.

I discovered this band a couple weeks ago and have really been digging their music. Gives me some old britpop vibes and they sing really well, I find. The Last Shadow Puppets:

The style of the first song reminds me a little of Squeeze -- very '80s. The second is a bit more '60s -- I know I've heard one or two VERY similar songs from that era, but I can't place it right now (mind like a sieve and all). And The lead singer has a real Beatles haircut. So I definitely agree, very Britpop, BUT two different styles of britpop.
