Since some people have browser crashes due to Adobe Flash/Shockwave and videos, I humbly submit the following possible fix. https://www.youtube.com/html5 This entirely bypasses Flash whenever supported. Opt in and be happy.
Blind Guardian is definitely my favorite power metal band ever, closely followed by Gamma Ray. I also enjoy Joy Division and Dead Can Dance on occasion. A majority of what I listen to is either A. Power Metal or B. related to Touhou in some way, but I do like to listen to a little bit of everything. I also really enjoy more electronic music such as French House and Breakcore.

I just posted a Doors song in another topic, so I figured it's time for me to offer some more music from some of my favorite artists here: -- I went through a Van Morrison phase years ago, and it hasn't completely ended yet. -- Don't get me wrong -- I love the Who and the Stones about as much as anyone -- they are among the greats. But I always thought that the Kinks were their equals and in some ways, far more interesting. Yusaf Islam may not be a household name nowadays, but once upon a time he was one of the biggest folk-rock artists of his time, but under a different name:
Thank you for the recommendation. I liked that second song the most. I'll definitely check more of that out.
Another quick youtube thing - https://www.youtube.com/feather_beta, basically brings youtube classic back, much lighter website etc. Pretty neat. Edit: just noticed, it seems that if you're using feather, then html5 videos don't load for some reason. Or at least the one I tried. There's no player that appears.
Beware Sarah Donner and her motherfucking pterodactyls: Throwing in some Lissie too, just so y'all wont think I'm JUST trolling. Really nice intimate live show with Øystein Greni of Bigbang, best of some worlds combined, imho:
I've done some testing on Feather too, but its so feature stripped its hard to use. On the upside, videos do load noticeable faster.
I think this is technically two songs, but both are from the same area (roughly) of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga (Lanilor Lane in Aleroth City in the Flames of Vengeance expansion), and they're proof that Kirill Pokrovsky is easily one of THE best composers in the business... even though he's only, AFAIK, done tracks for Larian titles.
Bought the album with this on today. Refreshingly different. It's like a Brit Pop-cum-Epic Orchestral-cum-Electronic album. It's rather bizarre, but it's growing on me.
Here's more of what i love to listen to. I know this is all old stuff. I haven't posted much Motown yet, so here we go. I love Motown. I listen to it all the time. One of the very first albums I ever owned was a Supremes/Temptations collaboration with the following performance on it: Here's a few more Motown classics:
I really never played with my UI from the default -- And I don't see any appearance choices other than the usual -- organize by album, artist, genre, etc. I do know that I prefer the controls to not be hidden, as they do with the new version. So how do you change the appearance like that, because I don't see anything like that in the options? /edit -- I know this goes against EVERYTHING that Apple stands for, but I'm a practical guy, and given the choice I generally prefer usability to aesthetics. Unfortunately EVERYONE and their mother seems to be crapping on practicality these days.
i feel the same way as you. my music player preferences are so basic that i use Winamp, but i don't even utilize the library feature, i just keep all of my music in one huge playlist (with a simple folder structure for the files) and find what i want with the search feature. It's also on the classic skin, of course. Takes 1/20 the memory and loads in two seconds instead of 10000000 years with iTunes. Also, iTunes still doesn't have global hotkey support, so Winamp will always be better. And I've never had Winamp crash on me, whereas iTunes has crashed dozens of times. It is so huge and bloated...the only reason i have it is to sync my iPod.
It's the default for the brand new version of iTunes. If you have it on "Albums" then each album opens like that. Artists looks a little similar, whereas Songs is more like the old version/Winamp.
