Yes, it's true, a Grue killed me. I got better though. Just like that time I was turned into a newt. Now let's hope Lccorp2 won't beat us all with sticks for these shenanigans.
I think we need not worry. It was just one image and should not entirely derail the thread. Most here have a sense of humor too. But seriously, how could a Grue be implemented? Anyone actually want this?
Your first floor wyrmling room (the egg thief chamber) has an issue with the deceased egg thief corpse by the door: it blocks the wyrmlings. Every time I come into this room, there are two or three wyrmlings hooked behind it that just stand there until I actually enter the room. I'd recommend making it not block movement.
I've moved that skeleton slightly. It still blocks movement, but it shouldn't be getting in anyone's way now.
FYI behaves the same as . 1/2 exotic damage (the vast majority of all spell damage), 1/4 mundane damage (mostly just for spells). (Just correcting a post on the last page)
I like it. I love the items and special encounters. I am giving this and the new FaxPax a run through to test and see what if anything I can whine and bitch about. Thank you for taking my whiny and bitchy complaints with stride and making a less pokemonish version. I for one think it is improved like it is. That said, I am playing a very overpowered build that should be obscenely overpowered by level five of the fifteen levels. Thank you again!
Wait, I thought Promethian Magic was nerfed. I kid, but that used to be a really powerful build. Special Encounters? Ah...I'm only on floor 2, so I haven't found any. As for pokemon themed items, I still find rare candy, the evolution stone rooms, with monsters in cages, that when you click on a lever, they all become stronger and try to eat your face, and the room next to it with a pedestal sometimes has an item capsule in it. So, they're still there, but there are less of them. Anyway, going to keep playing this. If only my save games would stop randomly reappearing when I try to delete all the old ones.
For clarification: Rare candy is from FAXPAX. Evolution stone rooms have been redescribed so they have nothing to do with pokemon. Item capsule is pretty generic now.
Oh, sorry. I'm used to Pokemon items enough that I didn't remember that it's from FaxPax. My bad. I know the Mudkip item was removed too. I haven't seen it, so, yeah. I know that was from this mod, because before I installed FaxPax for the first time, I found it.
Did you actually reduce the pokemon stuff? I really like this mod over all but the constant pokemon referances kill it for me :/
Yes. There used to be a lot more, especially the icons, which have all been reworked. The rest of the stuff has been largely genericised; if a player hasn't played any of the games and doesn't know what a "Sitrus Berry" is, the description is still quite generic and the title is easily taken as a pun off "Citrus". Icons, rooms, descriptions, and names were all reworked to remove *explicit* references. At this point, I don't think they're any worse than the base game's "FUS RO DAH", "SPAACE" or Shield of Caketown, albeit in greater quantity. The latest version I'm working on internally now will purge some of the titles and ichors from the text.xml, too. That being said, though, I've already been diversifying the joke wells, so take it as you will. As I mentioned before, I must insist on keeping: -The sprites. Good sprites are hard to find, and I am no artist to produce my own. -The egg, which is a special case and people seem to like, and -Mudkipz, as a reference to the internet meme. That's about as low as I will go. I'm sorry if what's left still breaks the immersion for you, but I feel I must stand my ground on this.
No worries - its your mod And that sounds great. It was quite over the top before for my liking. I guess I will have to try this mod again after my Random Roll Run
Yeah, I can agree with before - it started off as a pokemon items mod, after all. Which version did you try? 0.4 is the first one which had the references reduced.
I always thought it came from that pun in the Pokemon games. So yeah, a lemon berry... I would just like to point out that one of the rooms in base DoD is also named after that meme. I'm sorry, what immersion? It's a game where 90% of everything is either a shout-out or a cringe-inducing (and thus fun) pun.[/quote]
