Ess, regarding the crash on drinking booze. The same thing used to happen with boozeBuffs in abilities. Perhaps the problem is that it was fixed only in that case with RC4.
I haven't encountered the crash yet myself ess, so I don't know. I am running RC5 though so if I do..
OK, my work schedule sucks right now so I haven't tested any of this, but I in theory correctly moved all of the Archmagic triggers that weren't working from the spellDB to the skillDB where they should work. This may break saves, so be careful accordingly. Anyone willing to test Archmagic and see if Arcane Consecration and Eyes of the Elder Beings works, I'd be grateful. I'll move it to the OP when it's proven. edit: now with less Arcane Glory OPness! edit2: now with theoretically-functional Arcane Glory!
Hmmm. I do not know for certain if this is a problem with Archmage, but I have way too much stats with it in effect. My somehow reached 275 once Glorious Power triggered. Nothing I could do would change it. Ignore the black parts of this screenshot, they are modifications I made to another skill for testing stuff. *Edit* I just tested a vanilla game with this and it does the same. Is this intended or is something messed up?
That's...odd. Glorious Power gives +20 Savvy, not +200. And it doesn't stack with itself. Did the huge stats stick around after the spell wore off?
GP wears off??? Testing now. *Edit* Ah! A brittle. I am pretty good at avoiding damage, especially when nearly immune to spells and traps. It fixed after I was finally hit by one monster. (I dove down a stair to see if I could find something capable of hitting me.) *Edited again* I checked and sure enough, the buff says 20 , but for some reason it really did give 200. I am checking now to see if it does this every time, or if something else may have happened.
I found but do not understand the problem. GP stacks but not visibly. Only the stats change. Run through the steps to get GP and if you already have it, it adds it again and the stat boosts stack. I suggest removing it right before adding it. That should in theory negate this issue. *Edit* RemoveBuffByName should fit perfectly to prevent stacking of this. I still have no idea why it happened, but I can reproduce it forever so long as I have food, drink, and enemies to kill.
OK, I mistakenly assumed that buffs default to allowstacking="0", but that's apparently not the case. I've changed it in the download above; please to retry.
Hrm? That's odd, I didn't touch the triggers at all. Is this a new character, or do we have a save/reload problem?
Both. I will again try a vanilla run and see if it works as it should. *Edit* It works the same in vanilla too. Any kill gives GP, but no Arcane Consecration.
You are most welcome. I hope I can test the next revision. (I will be away all day tomorrow, so that is unlikely. But if no-one else shows up in time I will be back for it.)
Trying again! *Edit* Problems again. Check the screenshot. I will post spoilers below in case you cannot see too clearly what the problem is. Natural and beyond never show up as skillchoices. I spent the points to get them, then noticed that AC again would not trigger, yet this time GP would not either. One step forward, one step back. *Edit* I tried vanilla too. No luck. *Edited again* Sadly I have to go to sleep. I will check again sometime late tomorrow. Good luck!
There seems no way to normally get the "Arcane Consecration Step I" buff required to go forward to later steps. Since the download has the same name, I overwrote the original when I copied it to my mods backup. (It would be nice to have some version number even if it is used for nothing other than this, as I now have no way to examine the old version.) But that is for another day. Tonight I must sleep.
I tried again. I still cannot get AC to trigger the first step. Yes, it was otherwise a vanilla game, and yes it was a new character. I am checking a few things to see if I can find what went wrong. Sorry for the delay. I helped my Brother move yesterday. I am not in shape to have helped really, but he would not be able to do it on his own, so I pretended I was able and somehow managed all but one immensely heavy tool-chest that both of us together could not manage in any way. Some deity clearly favors him or myself, because neither of us died in the attempt, although we broke two steps on his porch due to the weight. I slept for almost fifteen hours after I got back. But I do not anticipate doing this again ever. I told him that if he ever wants to move that tool-chest, I will burn down his home. Back to the subject. I will edit this after I check a few things and see if there is anything missing like the actual trigger for Arcane Consecration Step One again. *Edit* Since I was a bit unclear, we *Did* manage to get the toolchest inside and where it should be.
