I have on Good Authority that the GLG crew is working hard on Something Cool for CE until at least the end of January, so Dredmor is somewhat on-hold until that point. Just letting everyone know.
Oh well, I assumed it would be "generally on hold" (meaning: on hold unless there happened to be game-breaking bugs and people with torches) until they released CE so that is good news for me.
About us doing something special for CE by the end of January. I mean, we do have an internal milestone at the end of January, but I don't know if I would call that particularly "special"...
You don't. Players waiting for it do. Your players are... enthusiastic, so many normal things are considered special by them. Not that you haven't earned that, though.
This roadmap hasn't been updated in a long time. This roadmap doesn't even cover what happened in YHTNTEP and CotW. For now, it seems that any work GLG is doing on DoD is completely invisible to most people. I know they're working heavily on Clockwork Empires, but I swear I saw some progress in a DoD patch involving burrowing diggles that come up right behind you.
Well, technically speaking it's been a long time since all that appeared were new beta versions for testing purposes, and we have at least one "surprise" planned now. Which probably means there will be a lot of code exploding, but at least it will be fun.
Oh how Nicholas tempts us! I am quite happy with how things are unfolding here at Gaslamp. New CE info every week and dredmor isn't abandoned. The game itself plays quite well and I play it as often as I can spare. The modding community is still churning out mods for it and the hub on steam seems pretty popular. Landmarks. Plus we hear from the team constantly outside of the weekly CE updates.
